No... but I have sometime wondered if Dinosaurs were not scaly, and had fur like a Persian cat. Imagine, a Raptor with bushy fur... :|

I hate to break it to you, Colicedus, but reptiles? Don't have fur.

I was about to correct you, zatoichi, but I looked it up to double check and apparently they weren't scaly birds, but reptiles which birds (Aves) are now a subset of by being a subset of dinosaurs (Dinosauria). Odd, I know just read.

From: http://dml.cmnh.org/2000Apr/msg00382.html
Old System of Classification (Linnaean): Reptilia includes all
land-dwelling vertebrates which lay eggs with shells except for birds
(Aves) and mammals (Mammalia).

New System (cladistic/phylogenetic): Reptilia includes the most recent
common ancestor of turtles, crocodiles, snakes, lizards, and tuataras,
plus all of that ancestor's descendants. Dinosauria is a subset of this
(and Aves a subset of Dinosauria -- hence Aves is part of Reptilia, too).

No but i had a creture that, instead of the typical fur or bare skin or scales, I had a creature with natural plated armor, Not scales, like ordinary armor, with scales at the joins and jut a huge lump of whatever scales are made of on parts that didn't bend. (E.G the top of the torso). It's hard to describe but I think you get the idea.

More like exoskeleton, like a insect.

A carapace is what tortoises and turtles have; it's made up of individual plates, called scutes. My T's scale armor is made of cut and polished tortoise scutes.

Don't I wish; but thanks. I like knowing stuff. It's the best part of being alive.

PS: Does this mean I'm still your hero?
