Hey David, are you going to release a patch with faster server for Vista Users? My game lags just at the enter screen! I hope you will make it soon or are you focusing on Lugaru two ? If your Lugaru two is release, make it Vista compatible, please ?

If it doesn't just work on Vista, then it sounds like there is a problem with Microsoft's OpenGL implementation or something; there is not much I can do about that.

This should be in the other thread you posted a little while ago today.
Generally, I prefer keeping only one or maybe one more thread per topic.

Have you tried running any other games in Vista? It could be that the graphical effects ("Aero") are turned up too high, and are not leaving enough graphics processing power left over for Lugaru. You could also try updating your graphics card drivers.

Vista is a very problematic operating system considering some games. Quake 4 doesn't run properly, if I recall correctly. And Doom 3. And lots of others.
You will have to check Microsoft's support base for answers regarding general Vista issues, I suppose. You'll get the best answers there.

There are some great DirectX tutorials on the net.
I kid, I kid.

Does OpenGL handle sound, or do you have to use another library for that?
I know DirectX handles sound.
And lets not let this get into a Mac VS Windows thing

I swear to God, if one more person takes a random potshot at Microsoft I'm going to do something nasty. I understand this is a Mac-leaning forum, but I don't see why every single thread has to devolve into a PC vs. Mac debate.

If you want to start a Mac vs. PC debate (Again) that's fine by me, just don't try to blame me on it.

Aw geez... they drank red bull
. Ltp0wer, you usually have to integrate OpenAL with OpenGL for good sound transitions and quality

How can you post "OpenGL>DirectX>Anything else on Windows" and not expect a platform war?
And just for the record, Windows has the best implementation of OpenGL of any platform.
