I won't be upset if you don't add an axe. It would be something to consider though.

I guess and axe could be modded in...

hey! Maybe after the game is released someone could release a weapons pack of some sort. I see a twi-blased weapon these. maybe someone can make a two-bladed sword and pretend they are that guy from Star-Wars.

Maybe even make it all glowy like a light saber.

Also, I don't see any bows. I love being an archer in midievalish games. I guess that's a job for the modders hmm?

EDIT: THE STAFF IS BACK.

It would be super-cool if you could modify your staff so that instead of it being a wooden pole it would have some decorations etched into it. or maybe make it so it's a lightweight metal with... something at the end

Oh, weapons customization. I can dream can't I?

U was actually expecting there to be very few weapons... I think having so many may not be a totally good thing. I mean, isn't it more about hand to hand fighting? well? Am I right or am I being a moron again? I'm not saying there shouldn't be so many, it's a good thing, but we don't want to take from the spirit of the game.

oh, and yeah. bows would be cool

I think it's mainly melee fighting, and weapons certainly play a big part of that ;)

Thus I am not surprised to not see a bow or sling of some sort.

The combat will probably be about as unarmed as you want it to be. If you want to escalate a fight by drawing a sword, then your enemies probably will too :)

Mmm

Type a cheat so that enemies will always fight with tooth and nail :)

Cause, if the enemy has a weapon and they can have an advantage over you by using it, they would probably use it rather than risk getting beaten because they failed to use their weapon...

Though, there could always be those "honorable" or 'tough" enemies with a weapon sheathed and will try to pulverize you rather than stabberize/slicerize you with their weapon if you have your own weapon hidden.

I am not sure what will actually be in L2, but I imagine it would depend on who is watching, why you are fighting, and who you are fighting with :)

Think Dragon's Fist, the Flash game, or Oni -- or Lugaru 1, really. They all have that same basic concept: if you pull out a weapon, you risk your opponent grabbing it and using it against you, so only use it if you're more skilled than your opponent.

Determining this is simple.

if they grab your sword and slit your face open, they're more skilled

if you slit their face open, you're either more skilled or they weren't quick enough.

if you suck you get your face slit open, even if they use a club.

Or, if you're not playing multiplayer, you know you're more skilled than the AI. Period.

Hopefully.
