Please don't ruin the end of Tetris for me, I never actually got that far.
Oh, really? Well, I was in an arcade once until about 2 in the morning, playing Tetris liek some kind of god. Anyway, long story short there's this awesome pre-rendered CGI movie where you find out the blocks were actually giant crates of weapons, and you go on a massive one-man rampage against the government.

It rocks.

WoW has the worst ending ever. Just some crappy little dungeon-run, you can't even get the really good equipment from it. And it takes 2 hours a pop. Really, who'd waste their life on that (apart from a few of my friends at school who I routinely bash - no, not really)?

Yeah, there's no plot at all. Its like they didn't even try.
what about pong? we hit a circle back and forth with...rectangles...why?

and what about pacman? you're pretty much a wheel of cheese eating little yellow circles, food and ghosts for no apparent reason...and there is no ending...just game over
XD
I disagree. The story to Pacman is fantastic. An epic battle for survival between a strange creature and his inner demons. He also struggles with steroid abuse which, while allowing him to battle the raging spirits inside of him corrupting his mind from the inside and out, will eventually lead him to become addicted and need more. And when he meets Ms. Pacman....oh i won't ruin the ending.

A rather formitable task. but what happens to Mr presadent!?
Dose the medium Body guard get eaten? dose the VIP escape?
What brought on the Zombi Invasion?
Whats with the Red fog?

NOTHING TELLS ME!!! :x

And that is why levelcaps suck. If clanlord didn't suffer so badly from treadmill grinding (Honestly, I never even went hunting just for EXP since it just didn't give me the message I was even getting any, and after all that time, I get ONE lesson with my currently selected trainer. If that trainer is a hybrid I don't even get a full lesson with the trainers that trainer is a hybrid of… And one lesson is not very good at all. You need about fifty lessons to even notice a slight difference in how accurate you are with your whacky-stick… The moral of this parenthesis is that I just used the library and waited patiently for levels. I got one per day in the free/hobo library.) it would be awesome, since you never run out of things to train. (Honestly, nobody in the entire game has ever reached the maximum level of training with Atkus or Swengus or any other main fighter trainer as far as I know, and they're still making new areas and stuff with craploads of monsters that are really just a bit harder than the last really badass monsters they made… Hm, nothing new gets made for the newbies, and by the time they get there, those monsters will be old news… But if Clan Lord didn't suffer from that, it'd be awesome, with no level cap or training cap of any kind. You just get stronger and stronger until you look like that creepy black guy who has almost every single muscle in his body bigger than his head and can roundhouse kick people better than Chuck Norris. Nobody's got that far yet though, I don't think…)

(Honestly, I use "Honestly-Parentheses" too much…)

There was actually an AWESOME pong remake where everything was in 3D, once you beat every level on the highest difficulty, therefore removing all need to play again, and therefore you SHOULD unlock something awesome.

No. You unlock the original game. If we wanted to play the original game, with the same graphics and everything, we wouldn't have bought the 3D remake.

Then what about megaman zx on the ds?? huh?? you beat the entire game, and get 1 level of the original, then moving through the difficulties, you unlock 1 level at a time.

All of this adds up to a grand total of, what 3 levels, what a waste of time to do it for that, although im not gonna bash a game where the last boss breaks reality, i mean how awsome is that, fighting away (killing in three move, hehehehe lolz evil cube of boxy cubey deathness) then moving on to the final final boss fight, and the background EXPLODES , i mean, how awsome is that??

RISE, my minions, RISE from your GRAVES! Shameless thread necromancy, in other words.

So... Psychonauts. Some nice ideas, some nice elements, mostly well done... but what's up with the ending? SPOILERS ahead, so if you haven't played the game go somewhere else. Like to buy it from Steam, where you can get it for 10$. It's well worth that even if some parts (the ending) are very annoying.

So, I'd like to say what others probably have said. WHY, Meat Circus? Why did it have to be like that?

The first thing the game did wrong about its endings was the fact that it informed me about reaching the POINT OF NO RETURN, the point after which you're mostly stuck with what you have with you, are unable to collect more lost brains or get goodies from the store etc. Well, not quite the fact that it informed me about reaching this point, but about informing that I had just GONE PAST IT. That's right, sucker, shoulda read the walkthrough first!

Well, the rats were also stupid. What's up with those? One rat explosion == 4 points of damage. You can hear them coming, but since you don't know where, you can't get ready for them. Even if you do get ready for them, they might be coming from two different directions, making it nearly impossible to shoot both groups in time. And then the rats come in large groups and waves, and in some parts appear almost next to you... Yeah, thanks for not giving me enough time to switch to pyrokinesis power or to use it. And once they hit you, you're confused and the rest of the group will hit you.

There's also the majorly annoying platformer sequence. Not only is it annoying, but in the end, you'll see a rare collectible to your right, and when you go after it you're dropped right down to the bottom. It would be much, MUCH less annoying if you lost a life from that. Instead, you'll have to waste your TIME. I gave up on that point, I thought I'd try more of that later, except that I then reached the POINT OF NO RETURN. Yeah, thanks for that...

Well, any way, I'm currently stuck at Meat Circus, where I have to get hold a goal in place so slow escortee can reach it, and then go through a platforming sequence to reach the escortee before he bites the dust in the next place. I have to repeat this at least twice. With annoying time limits. And even more annoyingly, every time you fail at any part, you'll go back to the beginning. Part-1, Part-2, fail, part-1, part-2, fail, part-1, part-2, fail, frustration. "Artificial difficulty" anyone? Oh, and it seems like I only start every new repeat with a set number of health, less than 1/5th of my current maximum.

I understand it gets WORSE than this.

The games WAS fun. This isn't. Usually at grinding parts I try it until I get bored; here, I try it until I get majorly frustrated. Bot did they get this ending wrong...

... and Psychonauts complete. The ending cinematic and boss fights weren't bad. There was one really stupid part in the timed acrobatics run that comes after the timed escorting part, but it wasn't too bad. I did, however, complete the game without ever visiting the "Tunnel of Love" place I was supposed to go into. I saw the boy lead way through a doorway, collected few last figments, jumped over to see what's on the other side and landed on a rail. I didn't manage to jump off before it was too late, and then I ended up in the last bossfights. The bossfights weren't too bad, although I did have to keep evading the first boss until a voice inside my head told me what to do, and that's FANTASTIC design again.

That was one frustrating, buggy, incomplete endgame. I'm not sure how the the secret level in Cave Story is just annoying when this is so much more frustrating... but damn, that leaves a sour taste in an otherwise good game. Sheesh.

Oblivion had a pretty disappointing ending. It was just like "K BRO YOU FINISHED THE MAIN QUEST GG". I know, I know, the main quest isn't even 1% of the whole game, but I was expecting a little more :v

MGS4's ending was more fucking complicated than the entire Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings, and His Dark Materials series combined. But worth it. I oozed and squirmed with fanboy joy when everything came out the way it did and my faith in humanity was temporarily restored. Then later on my way to the grocery mart, I saw some idiot ride a bicycle out into the middle of an intersection; I should tell you to look away if you're ever about to see a car accident happen.

Fable 2...I don't have much more to say than that I am utterly disappointed. There wasn't even any ultimate boss fight of epic proportions. And, as Ragdollmaster just stated for Oblivion, I did get a feeling of "GG BRO" from the NPC characters. Like seriously, Lucien started talking and I was like *Shoots Lucien with pistol* and he died instantly and fell off his pedestal and into the abyss. Then one of the NPC characters goes "...he's dead." I was like "NO SHIT, IDIOT." After the game being so fantastic and entertaining up until that point, I really was like "...huh?"

Worst game ending: Super Mario Galaxy

Oh c'mon, a compilation of Bowser's previous moves. On different planets. ...

I was hoping for something more dramatic than that. And something REALLY hard.

Borderlands was another example like Fable 2 or Oblivion. Fucking brilliant game all the way through and then you get to the end and it's like "...oh."
