The future of wolfire.

Post by Lugaruman100 » Thu Mar 17, 2005 7:21 pm

Since lugaru is finaly getting a good amont of downloads and david is developing other games as we are speaking what comes next after that game? What will david do next to the engine that powers lugaru?

I think if david has the money he should get a hold of the unity engine since most of you know how much power that engine has. Take Gooball for example, with it's very good graphics, real time water effects, high polygon count and etc. This is just a thought though.

My engine will be far superior to Unity.

David made it.
Contrary to popular opinion, it does not use the Quake engine.

I've never heard of the Unity engine. What does it have that Lugaru doesn't?

incredible graphics and physics system. it took like three years to make. That could rival the Quake Engine.

The Quake engine isn't much to rival.

David's next engine will be much, much better than unity.

Better then Unity but as good as unreal engine 3.0? And what will he call his new engine? Lugaru engine 2.0 or 3.0?

I'm not sure if david is carrying over the Lugaru engine to his next project.. it will probably contain at least some of the same code though.

I would not be suprised if his next game did contain some code from lugaru. But then again david would most likely take apart the engine and rewrite& add new stuff. Or he would just start from scratch but if he did that it would take even longer.

@Natyr

That game looks suspiciously like the GarageGames game Marble Blast Gold, but with prettier graphics. :?
