D&D

Post by Sandurz » Sun Feb 01, 2009 5:45 pm

A thread for general D&D chat.
This isn't really for just D&D players, so feel free to post links bashing it I find some of them quite true of people I play with.

Apparently there's DnD games you can play online (not like Nerverwinter Nights, like, the paper+pen DnD) but... I dunno.

I;ve tried playing NWN online, it's a pain. I don't know about pen and paper, but I know theres an online game. You have to pay for it though.

I'm pretty sure Ozy means actual online DnD games, as MUDs are essentially exactly the same as most MMORPGs only text-based.

Actually, I was referring to text-based stuff. I'm not sure about MUD's, but, those might be it. I'm pretty sure there was an actual program you could use that had a character sheet and stuff or something...

Yeah, most MUDs start out with you needing to create a character sheet on first log-in.
^^

Other than that, I can only think of rogue-likes and D20 Character Sheet Managers.

MMORPGs involve you creating a character sheet of some sort, normally. It's how RPGs work.

It's just that MUDs are closer to MMOs than DnD.

True, but it's not as obvious at first for some as others. WoW's character sheets are fully automated until level 10.

I just got Tome and Blood today. (for those of you who care) I'm really interested in the Blood Magus class.
