Re: obligatory introduction thread

Post by kehaar » Thu Feb 12, 2009 3:33 am

Hi Everybody,
I'm James, just started L1 before xmas, got the demo and then, just when I was gonna buy the game, they gave it away for free! Now I'm hooked, played a bunch of of campaigns and maps, started messing around with making them and stayed up 'til all hours writing a complete campaign.

Then I buy OG, and it all goes on the back burner again. Damn, OG's gonna be so cool.

I did Hapkido back in my 20's for maybe 7 years, a little Aikido, and a few months of Escrima --that was really fun. I quit because of a rippin' injury, then got involved in mountain biking and never went back. Now I ride and play drums in a punk/country band.

I do have an Art Degree, worth exactly what the paper it's printed on is worth, and I'm sorry to say that, beyond Illustrator and a bit of Photoshop, everything I know about computers is from foolin' around with Lugaru.

Please have mercy on me for my stupid technical questions

Hey there all! Wow, these forums are tiny! Hee-hee.

Name's Midi Waffle. I'm just your average ordinary bomb-lobbing pyromaniacal squirrel... OK, that's not very ordinary. Anywhoodles, I was introduced to Lugaru (hi, how do ya do?) by a friend of mine, and the first time I played the game I was hooked.

Then I found this place and decided I should join it.

About myself, I am a graphic artist, 3D modeler (best with 3DS Max), writer, and game programmer. I have finished a couple games, but nothing really impressive. I'm trying to make a game about my character Midi the Squirrel, but it's coming along slowly. Like, I have no idea when it'll be released.

But that aside, I'm trying to find a new site to host my art on. I've tried DA and SA and hate them both, and there's not much else out there that I know of, other than the thousands of furry art sites, but I don't want those. One is enough.

So yeah, I gotta get going now. Will post something about Lugaru in its board tomorrow.

Since I have posted a few things on these forums, I feel obligated to post on this obligatory introduction thread.

My (Screen Name) name is Endorgan. I don't do much other then go to school and play games on my little MacBook. I found it ironic that even though I use http://www.macgamefiles.com all the time, its not where I found Lugaru. Even more ironic is that I had been playing Lighting's Shadow a ton as well and I never took the time to wonder, "What awesome person made this?" After playing the Lugaru demo a few times I decided to check out the website and here I am...

This crazy, strange place with crazy, strange people...

I like it! :D

P.S. Today is mah B-Day! 2/17 :D

Welcome, Average Joe (I might just keep calling you that from now on =p), Wolfire does indeed rock, and yes, Mount & Blade is known to most of us. At least to the PC half of the forums. The macmen can't play it, of course. =p

Indeed, you are welcomed! Enjoy your stay at Wolfire!

Yeah I figured I'd adapt to the norm here (when in rome). I'm actually a really boring, average person who has no right to try and make an impression as such, but it'll be lost in the tide of new spam so I've no fears for retribution.

My names James, anyway, and I am here.

Sweet, eh?
