Yes, it's funny how Computer-game logic can throw someone off whenever they get a more realistic game in their hands...

"WTF WTF I JUST DIED FOR NO REASON WTF WHY IS MY CHARACTER GOING SO SLOW HE WASN'T EVEN HIT ONCE WTF WTF"

"..Dude... He hadn't eated for ten days... what'd you expect?"

Well, most computer games don't include the more tedious aspects of reality. So it comes as a surprise when you encounter a game that does. Just imagine...

"WTF WTF MY CHARACTER IS HALF DEAD FOR NO REASON WTF WHY DOES IT SAY HE'S POISONED WTF HOW DID THAT HAPPEN WTF WTF"

"...Dude, you haven't been burying your excrement properly. Now your character has gastroenteritis... what'd you expect?"

Lotus Wolf wrote:ummm.... in my {epically vast} experience with traditional stick fighting, classic staff combat and basic bo-stick usage, the breakability is very realistic. i wouldn't change it, the realism of this game (other than anthropomorphic mammals) is part of what makes it the best ever!
It would be better if it'd break in half, allowing you to use the pieces as individual weapons.

Tell that to the people who play the Civilization.

I'm afraid your point is lost on me; I never played any of the civ games.

I think that's a bit too obscure... Even in RL I don't worry about that too much.

They're pretty much games about you controlling civilisation through the ages from around 3000 or 4000 BC or something like that. It basically features some of the more mundane aspects of life on earth, and was actually a huge Turn-Based Strategy hit. I never play Turn-Based Strategy games, and I rarely play Real-Time Strategy games, so I wasn't into it, but I can accept it's considered a fantastic game by many.

It is Sid Meier, after all.

It's more fun if you show them a game with even less realism.

"HOLY CRAP WHAT THE HECK THAT PLATFORM JUST KILLED ME WHYWHYWHYWHYWHY!!????"

"Duh. The platform was evil."

"WHY!?"

*shrug*

"Wth? I just randomly exploded."

"What? Oh... yeah, it does that sometimes..."

WTF WTF I just fell over and died. "dude what'd you expect you ran one of your feet into the other and tripped and rammed your nose into your brain when you hit the ground." for obscure realisms sake.

Or a numberish game.

"Why did I die? What does this number mean!?"

"The bad guy punched you in the face so hard you exploded instantly."

"BUT HE'S A FLEA!"

"He also rolled a 20."
