Debug Problem

Post by CommanderQ » Sun Apr 19, 2009 10:46 am

Ok, so I downloaded the Lugaru demo, entered the code I already had from a previous Lugaru purchase, and when I went to config.txt, debug was already set to 1, but wasn't working in the game. When I try to edit the document, it says, "cannot create the C:\program files\lugaru\data\config.txt file. Make sure the path and file name are correct."

Any Ideas?

vista puts config.txt somewhere else, i can't remember where though... it's somewhere here in one of the other debug problem threads, though.

You could've asked it like

I am assuming by 'your' you mean the contraction of the words 'you' and 'are', namely "you're". That would make it the following:
Lotus Wolf wrote:You're using Vista?
Which by the way is still an awkward way of phrasing it. The following would be ideal:
Lotus Wolf wrote:Are you using Vista?
If you're going to try to correct someone at least do it without spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.

I hate to admit it, but you have a point.
It's just that lack of grammar is an enormous debuff on respect, reputation, and general epicness on comments such as that of Lotus Wolf.
In fact Lotus' comment is frighteningly similar to the one I was planning to post, the only difference being a capitol letter and the absence of the smiley.
But then I didn't 'cos I though it might be seen as spammy.
Seems like I took the wrong gamble and Lotus took the gold.
Ah well.

Anyway, that's off-topic. Anyone got a way to help this guy?

hehehe... Well, I could work on my lazy capitols...

I also pulled up an old thread a moment ago, and I found the Vista path for the config.txt file to be "C:/users/admin/app data/local virtual store/program files/lugaru/config.txt" in the words of our Jeff.

Hopefully this solves the problem. (Though I believe it already had been.)
