Where did you get your account name?
I got mine from 'The Adventures of Blork'. I just modified it to not be noticeable...Where'd I get Maccher? From a certain online game...when you went to register a new character, it showed up first glance. I think David and Jeff are a little obvious...I know Nayr's story but I'll let him tell it. So, what's your's?

You mean you do not know MY story? You do not know who Flickta is? You do not care where the apostrophe ' must be in the name? Well, where are you from? Mars? IBM PC?Blorx wrote:I got mine from 'The Adventures of Blork'. I just modified it to not be noticeable...Where'd I get Maccher? If I am not confused, Flickta comes from the F'lickta in the Marathon trilogy, the big green aliens who live on Lh'owon and have big vertical mouths. (screenshot: http://cerberus.gamershell.com/screensh ... 6_full.jpg )
Many moons ago, there was Yahoo! Chat.
There were communities where people - real people - would gather and speak of the unspeakable, learn the unknowable, and make sure there was always a friendly troll to ward off unsuspecting newbies.
It was there that I met 'Avete', which some of you may recognize as a greeting. 'Ave', as he was known, became one of my most trusted friends. However, my interests had turned from Yahoo! Chat to Roleplaying.
'Avete' seemed like a good name, but I did not wish to rip off my trusted friend. Then, fate intervened!
My mother watches T.V. non-stop when she's not at work. I heard a preview for 'The Isle of Avalon' (I believe it was a made-for-T.V. movie), and immediately my brain put two and (three/xy + 1) together to create 'Avelon'.

David, you are rrrright! Take your prize. Mature (Or from other regions) F'licktas changed their colour.
as for "flying things" in Marathon, those are either Wasps (alien insects) or MADDs - Marathon automated defense drones.
I chose Flickta as a nickname when I was regictering my first e-mail account. I wanted to use a word from the Marathon and all other names were already in use. Now I am quite happy with the name, as no other Flicktas emerge.
