Midget cartoon hardcore indie shooter?

Post by Psycho » Fri Jul 03, 2009 10:21 pm

Yep. It's true.

I just played 25 minutes of Foreign Legion: Buckets of Blood.

Probably one of the best indie shooters i've played in a long time. Reminds me of tiny tanks.

(Mac OS X only. Sorry!)

Redirects me to the Apple download homepage. I guess Apple doesn't like midgets?

Also, what game engine is OS X-only?

It's hard to eventually find the download link, so that's minus points right there.
And once I got it working, it wasn't worth it.
Third person shooters just don't work!
You'd all be better off googling Urban Terror.

Unity3D works on Windoze as well (just can't develop in it on it).

Haha, I tried it out since I finally got my laptop back. Can't say I enjoyed it though. Something about either the simplicity or the fact that it just didn't feel intense enough or maybe just that the enemies were more after the town hall then they were after you and as long as you shot them from behind, they had a tendency to not shoot back...just didn't appeal to me.

Actually, they say on their site that it's only bound to OS X for now. They'll release it for other platforms when they have that all figured out.

That being said, the game looks alright. I'm already set up with The Orange Box, Garry's Mod, and several Source mods on my Mac, so I'm pretty much set for shooters.

EDIT: From their site:
With the things we’ve learned from this release we’re steadily preparing the PC version for a near-future launch.

What songs are played during the cartoon in the Grateful Dead movie? What songs are played during the cartoon, at the opening of the Grateful Dead movie? The only one I recognize is US Blues.
