Wurm Online
Re: Wurm Online
Nope, setting it back to hardware after results to another batman-reference.
Imma see if setting all the settings down low will improve the wear on my speakers at all...
And yes, I reside in the europes.

Okay, I dunno about the speaker issue. I'm on a Macbook Pro and sound works fine.
Yeah I get lag on high gfx settings here in the US.

Aaagh... this... is.. incredibly... SLOW!
I don't think I'm going to be able to play that... I could hardly click on anything and my movement seemed like a senile tortoise with Parkinson's on steroids...
Huh.
LOL it shows wounds in your inventory. Clever.

Re: Wurm Online
Try setting graphics lower...I had the same issue.
Re: Wurm Online
Yes, I've set everything down to minimum and I'm still shocking about. But at least I can move now.
Then I walked off a steep hill and landed in some bushes, and I have 25% of my health gone, and two wounds in my inventory. Epic.
Also the horizon is a disco for some reason.
EDIT: No, wait, I have lots of light wounds on my hands, arms and legs as well.. all cleverly hidden in the inventory dropdowns.
You'd think you'd notices some bloody gashes sooner.

Re: Wurm Online
Lol. Realism at it's finest. Falling off a cliff and then getting hurt by some sharp thorns.
It's like a text-based game but a little more avoidable. xD

Weird. Maybe I'll try again.Blorx wrote:I did fine with that. No clue why you had trouble. =\
Re: Wurm Online
The whole thing just reminds me of second life... but then medieval, more realistic, more fun, and more buggy.
Is that even possible?
Well, I doubt it's going to get very good...

Re: Wurm Online
I don't see how it reminds you of Second Life. It reminded me of A Tale In the Desert.
Second Life is all about content creation. Wurm is all about surviving in the wilderness. Starting with nothing and making all the necessities.
Comparing them is like comparing a contractor to one of those guys that goes into the wilderness, builds a log cabin and lives off the land.

You know what I mean. Second Life is all about custom content and scripting.
Re: Wurm Online
Alright, I'll give you that.
Anyway, I'm attempting to find meself a nice spot to set up home in Wurm... but I need to wiki how to do that o.0
I don't even know any way to get food other than foraging... heh.

Re: Wurm Online
Yeah the main ways to get food are to either forage, kill animals like pigs, or find a survival partner that has a steady income of food xD
As far as building a house goes, I'm housed by another player, so I don't know all of the details but there's a lot of terraforming involved in getting a good spot.

Re: Wurm Online
You find iron by going into a mine and mining a tile that's labelled as an iron vein. As for food, if you can't find a pig, cow, etc, let alone survive fighting one at this point, just ask over local if anyone will spare you some food.
