Still Here

Post by Lotus Wolf » Fri Aug 28, 2009 1:52 pm

Hi guys, I'm still around if anyone was wondering. I recently switched to Linux, and am currently working out the kinks. I'll be back soon (hopefully), and you can expect goodies when I get back. Dial-up doesn't seem to want to work with Ubuntu, or Linux in general, so I don't have a connection from my home. Once I get it going I'll be back on regularly.

Hoping you all are well,
-Lotus.

Back!

I'm happy to report that Lugaru works well in crossover, even better than it did for windows :) ! Yes, I know there's a Linux port, but I've heard a lot about compatibility problems and such with Ubuntu :? . Dial-up took some persuasion but I got it running, and it seems to work better in Linux as well. Oddly enough, my 30GB hard drive is actually a 40GB hard drive according to Ubuntu :D . So, to celebrate my return help me catch up on things, anything exciting happen? I would also like to announce that I am working on another campaign (sorry, not the one Jo is helping with, but a new one), and it may turn out to be a sequel to Reluctant Assassin, that's all I will say at this point. Until I get blender working like it used to, I may not be posting any new weapons... :( I kinda feel bad about not posting any for so long, so I may use a different computer for it and post one or two in the next few days/weeks.
Glad to see I was missed a bit,
-Lotus

welcome back, I haven't been following stuff too closely so I wouldn't know too well what's been happening.

Welcome back, even from not being really gone, if that makes any sense.

your linux adventure sounds interesting and challenging. Sounds like it takes some serious patience to work on.

not much new; maybe the community campaign thread on spf.

Linux has been interesting and it has kept me on my toes. Dial-up was a pain to force to work but I did it!

Community Champaign thread? I'll have to check it out...
