Overgrowth on Games for windows live?

Post by callmeclean » Sun Dec 20, 2009 4:27 am

Some people may know that recently Games for windows live had an update which gave it a games on demand feature, which lets you download full games and arcade games. I was thinking since Overgrowth is being released on steam if possible it should also be released on games for windows live because personally i would love to earn achievements for overgrowth and use all the games for windows live features while playing it. What do you think?

Overgrowth is cross platform, and the whole point of "Games for Windows" is that they're restricted to Windows. Sure, it's supposed to guarantee a certain degree of quality, but it really doesn't: all it means is that we have to buy 3 copies of a game if me and my brothers want to have a LAN game, and that you can't play with people who use MacOS or Linux.

To put it bluntly, and if you'll excuse my French: "***k that ***t!" :o

edit: sorry about the rant - I just dislike "Game for Windows" (does it show at all?)

I think I can smell spam. The non-automated variety.

I think it is called astroturfing. And I think, you may be right.

BTW this guy maybe did it as well, and far more subtle/successful.

I looked up astro-turfing, and that's very funny.

I can't believe I almost missed the newest grassroots movement! :)

Wasn't Shadowrun on Games For Windows but also on the XBox 360? Is it only in terms of PC OS's that it's only for Windows? That's kind of silly.

This has been bugging me for quite some time, but why aren't you fast yet?

Well steam is not a cross platform program and it is being released on that.

The Xbox is made by Microsoft, and since Games for Windows live is also made by Windows (Obviously), i don't think it's a big deal for them :P

Microsoft owns Xbox - what the heck do you expect?! Obviously they're not going to spite themselves, only other people - keep up their evil monopoly.

Dear god no! GFWL is horrid. But I am certain that they won't do it, like people have already mentioned, it's cross platform. Also, it IS an indie game and Microsoft doesn't care about them, as far as I know.

One market they're not trying to corner. Yet.
