On my last day in Germany, I saw this clock and I couldn't stop laughing at it, that is a really epic fail

Is there something else wrong besides using IIII instead of IV? That's traditional and there are many theories about the reasons, and one of them is that it helps the symmetry (VIII on the other side is the single "heaviest" number).

My math teacher once went on an intense rant about this. But yeah, many old roman numeral clocks use IIII. It just seems to fit better than IV, even though it is technically incorrect.
