Re: Running on Mac (possible explanation)
I think apple just updated OpenGL for 10.6, but not 10.5. No doubt to persuade more people to upgrade... I don't think there's a lot you can do to fix this, other than getting Snow Leopard.

Re: Auto updater test (Mac OS X)
Just tried updating from alpha 115 to 116, it seemed to download ok, but now it's hanging on "Extracting update..."
Where does it download the updates to? Would it be too hard to locate these and do a manual update? It'd certainly be more ideal than downloading another whole 1.5 gigs!

Re: Level Editor Suggestions
Three things, 1. Will we be able to apply different textures to different faces of the same object? I can see a really awesome texture browser happening with all the webkit stuff. 2. To do with snapping: how about also being able to snap objects together? As in, not just on a grid, but when 2 object...

Re: Editor Suggestions. (not just maps)...
Ooh, cool map editor suggestion here. How about some graphical feedback when copying? Say, the object lights up quickly then fades out. I thought of this when I must have been hallucinating and thought I saw this happen, but it actually didn't. So yeah.

Yep, much better speed on the torrent than the http download. In Australia here as well. I hope it can be an option for downloading the full game.

I concur. I really hope OG can support huge towns and stuff.Sandurz wrote:It may be huge, but just look at the fps...even for the early stage, that's unbearable.

Re: Invisible walls
I don't reckon an infinite landscape is a good idea, especially if Overgrowth will be in areas with lots plains. You run for a bit, thinking "Cool, how far out can I go!" then "Hmm... I stopped seeing trees a while back. This all looks the same." then "Um... ok which way did...

Re: Level Editor Suggestions
This is more of an efficiency issue. When I duplicated the building setup a few times from alpha 11, it promptly slowed down my computer. I took a look under, and found there are a lot of textures in places that will never be seen in-game. I have dabbled in mapping for Quake 3 based games, and there...

Re: Overgrowth's use of Lugaru
I'd go one step further than that: Bethusda continues to develop and push and old engine they've been making more and more complex for years, trying to make it do things it was never originally designed to cope with. I disagree, GaGrin. Old engines can be worked upon until they become something way...

Just give them stereotypical female hairdos (eg. bleached + permed?) and people will know.

Re: A more technical section?
I'm sure you can make a more technical post anywhere in the forum. If its to do with Overgrowth, this would probably be the best place, as it seems the Devs post more often here.
