Re: Does such a programming tool exist?
Sounds like what you need is LabView. It's generally used for robotics, but it has most of the functionality of text-based programming languages in a drag and drop block environment. It's a bit complicated, but it's used heavily throughout the industry. http://www.ni.com/labview/ Edit: It won't conv...

Re: Tackle
As for keeping it the same as Lugaru, I would argue that Overgrowth is already far different (in a good way). The Block/Dodge system of OG is already vastly more fluid and interesting than the original countering system of Lugaru. Just because Lugaru was an amazing game doesn't mean David can't take...

Re: Tackle
I strongly disagree, when I play Overgrowth and the enemies start running away for help, it always feels like the tackle is missing. Yes you can do it with leg cannon but it's very clumsy and it can fail. Also not possible if you can't jump in a straight line to your target. Choke hold only works i...

Re: Tackle
So I actually disagree with adding the Lugaru tackle. At least with the same mechanics. From a gameplay point of view it adds very little we don't already have. The core mechanic as before was to stop enemies from running or getting a jump on them. Both of these can already be accomplished via the l...

Re: I'm going to throw my hat in the ring here...
For fall damage, I think at the moment it simply needs to be tuned a bit more. While I agree it's exhilarating in a game like prototype to jump from building into the street without damage, it's also exhilarating to have a fight close to the edge of a cliff knowing that a wrong move will send you pl...

Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a137, weekly build
Ariehl's fix doesn't seem to work for me. Both my config.txt and my defaults.txt have the
key[item]: e
key[drop]: q
but it still doesn't allow me to pick up weapons.
Edit: It also doesn't seem to recreate the config.txt when I restart OG.

Re: Are we even sure that multiplayer will be available?
Or they could just make the MP using a direct connection. There isn't really such a thing. In a "direct connection" a server is simply hosted on one of the players computers. However, to facilitate this, one of the players must be on a port-forwarded network, such that it can receive outs...

Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a128, weekly build
I pretty much just copy-pasted the blood code into the on hit function. Though you can just use my modified aschar.as file. Overwrite the aschar.as file in the Data/Scripts/ folder with this file:Pablopa99 wrote:How did you did that?

Re: Humble Indie Bundle #2
I'm pretty sure all the top contributors are legit, and the advertisers just figured that $1000 for a spot on the contributors list was a good deal considering how many impressions it gets. I was specifically talking about the entry listed as "Metasploit" with the price $1337. Metasploit ...

Haha, It would seem someone found a vulnerability in your website.
That or someone wants you to think they did, and paid an exorbitant amount of money to do so.

No, the name's been the same all the way through. Though I have found similar games on other forums with the title "image war".

Re: Trine
Great game. Definitely interesting gameplay, though honestly I didn't find too many of the puzzles too challenging. The only hard parts were getting the green bottles, that's where a lot of the fun puzzles were. I'll also mention that the soundtrack was just about the best I've ever heard for a game.
