I might not have been clear, but I was comparing Lugaru to Overgrowth. In Lugaru (not Overgrowth) crouch and reversal are the same button, so you get crouching as a backup to reversing a move, and blocking doesn't exist. In Alpha 226, in the Magma Arena, the round/fight will not end if all enemies are in lava after round 1 in a multi-round fight. If the player jumps into the lava the round ends, but the enemy rabbits will just get up and walk around, but obviously be untouchable without dying.

It seems related to the character bumpmaps, and in my case flickers when "Dynamic Character bumpmaps" are on, but I have a worse bug where the night noise effect just looks like pixel barf, which I'm reporting to the bugs email.

I can see those changes being really neat to play with, especially thumbing in a single round and grip safety. The rest of them are probably less noticeable edge cases, so I don't see it likely to mess up muscle memory too much by adding them in.
