Re: Article: Why we don't have more girls in technology
My comment was mostly because it seems that APsychonaut's comment seemed to me to be a knee-jerk reaction to the title of either the article's title or the title of this thread.

Re: Article: Why we don't have more girls in technology
The, uh, original article is written by a veteran woman programmer and mother. She does say that the biggest people who are pushing for women to be programmers are feminists that dismiss her as a woman because she dresses in jeans and doesn't wear make-up.

Steam: Wolfire Games vs. Wolfire
There seems to be two "Companies" that Wolfire uses for its Steam games: "Wolfire Games" are used for Lugaru and Receiver, while "Wolfire" is used for Overgrowth.

Article: Why we don't have more girls in technology
Girls and Software on the Linux Journal.
I feel like the article hit many points as to why many girls/women don't have an interest in programming nowadays.

Re: OUYA Discussion.
I, myself, would like to see Lugaru on the OUYA. Unfortunately, the game is completely incompatible with game controllers. Fortunately, the game is open-sourced, so someone can update the engine if they feel like it.
Re: SOS?
It stood for Souls of Steel, used a primitive version of Lugaru's engine, is a Carbon CFM app (So you can run it on Mac OS 8.5 to OS X 10.6), featured a first person view, had monochrome textures, with the enemy robots red until it died.

My work on PCSXR
Just to let everyone know, I am a developer working on PCSX-R, which can be found here: http://pcsxr.codeplex.com. It's a PlayStation emulator. I mostly work on the Mac front-end. I have made a memory card editor, and implemented a net play interface.

Re: Compiling Lugaru on OSX
In my experience, your developer folder must not contain a space or any other special UNIX characters. I had this problem when trying to build Perian.

Re: What OS do you play Lugaru on?
Mac OS 10.6.6 mostly. Sometimes I boot my Linux machine so I can see all the neat graphical features that my lackluster GMA 950 just doesn't support (blur makes my Mac go all wonky).

Re: iCoder: Aren't they just a delightful bunch?
The news is making the rounds. It is completely possible that Apple will pull it due to shame.

They are violating copyright law with at least the art assets. Wolfire is in its rights to sue them if they so choose.

Re: Wolfire, Humble, and Steam
Just necroposting to let people know (if they don't already) that people who have bought the Humble Indie Bundle can now activate it on Steam.
