Re: Thoughts on character models shown off in latest Alpha v
I feel like Aubrey was kind of the soul of this game artistically and I'm only now starting to notice. What about all those art overviews I watched for a long time while he was doing them? It seems like a waste to throw away all that work with totally new character design style. In fact I'm starting...

Re: The game I pre-ordered years ago still hasn't come out y
As Dammasta said before me, there's really no reason to complain unless you urgently need the thirty dollars to buy a meal. What harm is this situation really causing you? You surely must have known that pre-ordering did not guarantee the game would be released in the near future, as it states that ...

Re: [suggestion] turner learning to fight better
The only thing where I could imagine such a learning approach is learning new moves. At first they are clumsy and slow, after a while you get quicker and the animation more fluid. Surely this too should be based on skill, though? If they player is new, then they will not be as skilled at the game a...

Re: Any ideas for an Overgrowth Facebook page?
There's a difference between the Nerd^3 video and this venture. You watch Nerd^3 for a gameplay video from the point of view of the player, you watch Wolfire's alpha videos for progress videos from the developer's perspective. However, overgrowthdownload.com really is set up in competition with Over...

Re: [MOD] Chartre's NEW post-effects pack
Hey, I got some new errors with this version. They didn't relate to your shaders specifically, but it only happens with your shaders installed. Really not sure what caused these, and I wasn't really able to reproduce them. I'm guessing they stem from projectedshadowdecal.frag though, so for the mea...

Re: [MOD] Chartre's NEW post-effects pack
Overgrowth changes the shadow blur based on the sun, so on some levels the projectedshadowdecal looks fine and on others it looks quite ugly and jaggy. Anyway, I (hopefully) fixed Anton's error and added a bit to the blurring, so hopefully this will remove some jaggs.

[MOD] Chartre's NEW post-effects pack *alpha 211 update!*
There were some big changes to shaders in 210 that broke this pack. So I now present to you an updated version that works with 211. I couldn't quite get the noise down as low as before, because the way noise is handled was changed completely from the previous version, but otherwise I think it looks ...

For me, the skybox is upside down without even modifying the sun. Very annoying.

Re: Is overgrowth overly taxing on your computer?
I found when I was usīng an old 5850 that fiddling with GPU skinning in the settings made a massive difference to the framerate. I guess the gpu didn't support it, and maybe since your card is a few years old that is the problem. Just guessing here, I would've thought 7800 series might support it.

Re: story?
There are a couple of clues about the story of Overgrowth out there. But I think David wants to keep it under wraps for a while.WildFire wrote:so does the story carry on in overgrowth? or does it start a new story, but with turner still getting revenge?
