Just to say the weapon controls are probably going to change, the developers in the alpha videos have said a few times the controls are place holders during testing.

I'd say for wall thickness you can choose two options that seem reasonable to me; Raycast until you hit wall, then continue ray to the backface of the end of the wall, and take the length difference from those points, or less complicated just measure the thickness of the wall in the closest dimensio...

When showing off this kind of thing I love to roll while wall running, since you can roll while wall running at a few frames, and you do a sort of wall running flip which looks quite cool, you should do that in your next vid ;D

sound isn't particular either, it acts as a wave, wave dynamics would be better resolved with a grid of voxels to represent pressures and energies, this is how things like FumeFX work when they make fire and smoke: http://www.afterworks.com/FumeFX/Overview.asp . In the overgrowth system; water is actually harder to add than surface swimming, full swimming might be slightly harder, but water requires shaders to be developed etc, while swimming just needs a few animations and a script, maybe a few modifications to other scripts to stop jumping or rolling etc ...

Who knows when multi-player will be added, the developers have allot of work to do on overgrowth yet, so it could be next update, or it could be alpha 200, who knows.

I ran some tests after enabling the sphere for last known position to draw, and in fact this is already what happens to a degree, the guard upon hearing a noise set's the last known position to where the sound was, then heads to that place, if you move away from it in time, he wont see you.

to see the field of view lines edit \data\scripts\enemycontrol.as (i think thats it, im away from my computer) then uncomment something about raycasting lines, it looks like \\blahblahraysomethingblah, its around line 40. it only works when the ai is agressive i cant figure out the raycating check ...

A couple things I noticed with the new AI: a) Attacks from behind instantly make the AI notice you, it would be nice to be able to sneak up on them and hit them without them noticing until impact, and possibly do extra damage. b) The AI doesn't care about light or shadow, perhaps with ray-tracing fo...

Nice work as always wolfire, prompt updates even when moving is a pretty good track record, I'm going to go try and build a little city to fit inside the red towering monoliths now included, to the blender!
