Re: The Bugs Thread

I'm getting the same error a few others have: "This application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem." I've installed the latest .NET framework (3.5) as well as the "Visual C++ Redistributable Setup 2008&...

Re: "Unknown Command"

I'm trying to get my auth code into the Overgrowth alpha, but after hitting enter, it simply displays "unknown command". Could it be because there's a return key that's different from an enter key? Because my keyboard doesn't have a return key. The on-screen keyboard's return key doesn't ...

Re: A suggestion

Wouldn't it be sort of strange to have small animals in a world of anthromorphic animals? Or, well, I guess it's like how Mickey has a dog, but his best friend Goofy is also a dog. It is an alternate universe after all. But a realistic world should probably adhere to a certain ruleset. So, uhm. I g...

Thread title should be something like, "New Idea: Small Creatures on Landscape"

or something. Anything is better than "A Suggestion"

Haha, that's not a "problem"
That is typical in any game.

More stress = less frames.

Re: A suggestion

I like the descriptive thread title that distinguishes this thread from all the other "Suggestion" threads.

Anyway, isn't it a bit too soon to be thinking about this?

I think I am going to make a thread suggesting that they add the ability for enemies to do flips.

Re: Suggestion: Frame Rate Cap in Graphics Options (Eventually)

Just have an option for Vsync, and maybe a console command that limits the fps to whatever frames you type in.

Like the source engine. There is a command called "fps_max" and it is defaulted at 300.

Re: SVN.

SVN isn't necessary.

I don't mind downloading a new ~100mb installer every week.

I have the installers from alphas 1-4 saved for future nostalgic reasons, and using SVN would kill that process.

Re: Alpha 2 links!

You should name the minor alphas something like 2.1 , 2.2 , 2.3 and when you reach the "milestone" you release a 3.1 . That will probably make it easier for those that don't want to try every minor change but want to try the "fairly polished and publicized builds". I have a bett...

Deal with it. Would people please quit being to terribly flat-out and rude? ;_; As if Xerxes' post wasn't rude? So many heated, researched, passionate arguments... too bad I don't care. Let's not clutter up the thread with unnecessary arguments about how one system is better than another. I, person...
