Re: FULLSCREEN FINALY FIXED (windows)
I didn't really like the last fullscreen cause it looked blurrier and didn't full up my whole screen... Are these problems still present? That depends; did you also change the screen height and width in config.txt to match the resolution of your screen? I did not. I take it that would resolve the p...

Well, why else do you think Gordon Freeman was so good at switch-flipping?

Re: obligatory introduction thread
First official post. Welcome! :D Decided to pre-order after i saw a promo video. I trust Wolfire, but for a 30$ alpha it better be pretty baller ;) Well, don't expect a complete, playable game at this point, but if you've seen some of the changelog videos on YouTube, you know you'll be in for a tre...

Re: Bug reporting station
I am on a mac and whenever I try to load a level, it closes as soon as I begin to hear the background noises of the level. I deleted my previous downloads of overgrowth to re-download Overgrowth because ever time I would try to place or do anything involving a character, the window would automatica...

Re: Motion Blur
That'd be nice, but at the same time, the classic "Photoshop zoom blur filter on the whole screen" schtick is pretty tired, so, just speaking for myself, I'd only want it to be implemented if they can figure out something a little more realistic than that.

I think people with years of Photoshop/GIMP/etc. experience are forgetting how much we ALL sucked at it when we first laid our hands on it, and how many unabashed filter sprees we went on. ("DUDE! Have you seen what Plastic Wrap does? This is friggin' amazing! Must...get...word...out!") Tr...

Re: Game details that BLEW YOUR MIND.
I dunno...I think it's possible, considering she was present as a child at Bring Your Daughter to Work Day. If true, it would certainly bring a warm fuzzy feeling to my heart. But I still don't think it has to be true.pookaguy wrote:I'm starting to think that Chell is Cave's and Caroline's daughter.

(Spell check even says he spelled it wrong.) ...because "dead" and "mouse" are customarily two separate words. They're correctly spelled. I don't see what the big deal is. Anyway, welcome to the board, Deadmouse! I hope the initial reception hasn't put you off — as online commun...

I haven't tried it myself, but I think the Windows equivalent to the Option key is usually the Alt key.

Re: Game details that BLEW YOUR MIND.
I saw the translation, but interpreted it as GLaDOS calling Chell a "child" figuratively, in the sense that she's much younger and less experienced in life than GLaDOS, not literally as Chell being Caroline's (perhaps adopted) daughter.
