Let me tell you 'bout a game called Overgrowth,
Parkour and fighting -- it's got 'em both!

Re: My Indie Game: Fimbulvetr
I was somewhat expecting something like "Lugaru meets Dynasty Warriors". That could be fun.

Re: Poll for features in thinkable New Combat System
* Would you like to have Throw on its own button, rather than make it override your block? I would like Throwing to be a reversal, by activating the Block+Attack buttons in the instant someone attacks (Like in Lugaru), while holding Block makes you block constantly. Aka the opposite of today's Over...

Re: Female Characters
For the most part, you can't really tell the difference between a male and female of most animal species unless you're examining their genitals, so it's entirely possible that half of the rabbits and wolves in Lugaru were female too. SPOILER -- Turner even makes a remark about it in one of the wolf ...

Re: Poll for features in thinkable New Combat System
* Would you like to implement Ducking as an extra feature alike Reversal? Do you mean something other than the crouching we already have? * Would you like to have powered attacks? (Hold mousebutton for strong, slow attacks) Holding your fist back for five seconds doesn't magically make your punch a...

Re: Dress Up?!?
This seems mostly useful as a modding tool. You could quickly cobble together a group of different characters by mixing and matching fur colors and patterns, clothing, and accessories. That seems much easier than doing it in Blender and exporting each one, then configuring, etc.

Re: turner lugaru
Well considering Turner is going to be the main character of Overgrowth I think it's kinda likely they'll add him at some point. I think the key point is the original Turner from Lugaru, i.e. the low-poly, low-res, N64-era Turner, not the new fancy one that we've seen in the alphas. He's not nearly...

Re: How did you find about Overgrowth?
I originally heard about Overgrowth when it won some award on ModDB, but I never really looked into it. Then I saw Lugaru on Gameboom.net and decided to give it a try (I'd heard of it before, but watching the preview video was what got me to try the demo). I really enjoyed it so I bought it, and I r...
