Re: Unofficial alpha 72, weekly build

Ok, took a look with procmon and did some more research - here's what I can tell you. I was wrong - it looks like file extraction happens to C:\Windows\Installer, not %TEMP%. So that would explain your C: drive access. The Windows Installer does access the temp directory. Not entirely sure why, but ...

Re: Unofficial alpha 72, weekly build

Mine says "the installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package." 1.) Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit? 2.) Could you look at the properties for the msi and see what the size is? It might have been truncated during...

Re: Unofficial alpha 72, weekly build

New Windows installer isn't working on Windows XP. http://files.blackholestudios.nl/dump/InstallError.PNG Uh... why is there 1109MB needed on my C-drive when I try to install to "D:\Games\Overgrowth"? I would guess your Environment Variables are set to reflect a %TEMP%/%TMP% directory tha...

Re: Unofficial alpha 72, weekly build

OK, the terrain appears to be completely missing on the desert level, but otherwise it looks to be progressing smoothly If you see this error it's due to old files being in the virtual store from the previous version. You need to take out this directory: C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Local/VirtualSto...

Re: Black Shades(iPhone)Multiplayer Update[Wolfire Please Read]

There will never be a MP version of the original Black Shades. The code is entirely designed around a single-player game and resists change.

Not that I wouldn't love to play a MP game of Black Shades. I'm sure if we ever got around to BS2, there would be some kind of MP component.

Doh, I need to check this forum more often. Anyhow, I didn't ever see a readme in the original icculus distribution, I'll have to check. If I do make a new version, maybe I'll add the ability to invert the mouse someone's wanted. If anyone needs to contact me regarding black shades, PMing me on this...

That's weird, I really didn't touch the control code in either port... Has anyone seen that in the OS X version?
