Re: So, what's been going on?
Also, if you didn't hear in a couple of alpha videos ago David said that he'd prefer not to have to release videos on a weekly basis as he was finding it hard to constantly find something to show which the general audience could see or do in the game - limiting his ability to work on stuff that was ...

Re: Humble THQ bundle
I think this also goes back to the idea of these 'innocent' indie dev. being squashed by giant looming triple-A companies like THQ. These are two separate bundles as hinted by the title , and I can't believe because they aren't a small developer that everyone is turning their back to this bundle. Ar...

Re: flying bodys (keep it)
I believe the 'lightning' eyes were put in to show off the script-calling-features-thingy-ma-jig on the game-engine. I believe he explained this in a dev video a while back, by joining a 'find enemy in range' with 'lightning particles' to make a more complex action. Update: http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Worth-it.
Does it count if I put a 'dash' in it?

Re: Stuck in loading screen
Yeah, I'd try and wait longer. Overgrowth seems to just be loading very slowly at this stage of dev, so I guess just give a little (lot) more patience, and you might find it fixes itself. Otherwise, if you could copy what your terminal/command prompt text when the game 'freezes', we may be able to i...

Re: How to address sexuality in overgrowth (video)
And to think that we were finally coming out of an age where breasts weren't the entire advertising campaign for a game. Guess I will just go over here and mutter a bit like a old world-weary man. *mutter* But seriously? Sure I'd like to see gender defined models, just not 'humanised' sexuality, ie....

Whilst the cat looks in an unfinished state? I still think it looks coolest
Can't wait to a extravagantly dressed cat prance into combat wielding a rapier and main-gauche.

Re: When will the game be optimised?
I don't really believe in game development you ever sit down and 'optimise' a game till its very late stages of actual development once you have all core game mechanics down pat, as adding additional features during development may cause all previous optimisation efforts to go out the window. But I ...

Re: mhmm...
Back on topic :P ...I am rather interested to hear peoples opinions what this topic began with XD. Maybe some 'missions' in Overgrowth could be done over a very large map (desert like perhaps), forcing the player to hunt for NPC's footprints in the sand visually, like a primal hunter, which seems in...

Alpha video :D ... no major game-play changes for the end user... but alpha video :D Although, I don't know what you did David, but suddenly that 'work' on the internal engine has doubled my overall frame rate... and Africa seems so much less poor now :3 Or maybe its just because I have stopped down...

Re: Needs colliding softbodies/ragdolls
What I believe he means is when for example you kick or throw a ragdoll it will not collide with other opponents your are currently engaged with. I hope that this is implemented as it was in Lugaru (you could lift and kick corpses around the place to take out other enemies.)

Re: Nvtt.dll is missing?
I believe that nvtt.dll is a NVIDIA texture library of some sort - worth making sure you have all your NVIDIA drivers and other drivers up-to-date.

Re: Overgrowth on linux status
I'm going to be picky here and say that the capitalisation of the first word in the topic's title is in stark contrast with the non-capitalisation of the more or equally topic-relevant word, 'Linux'. If one was to analyse too much into it, it would contribute slightly towards the general negative s...
