Re: Gamplay and Characters
I just had two awesome ideas One would be that if your idea about turner being a mentor, when you talk to him, you would play him in the lugaru maps. The second one is that it would be super cool if every race (exept wolfs, because I see them as self aware, but not the sharpest, monsters that does n...

Re: BF3 short (Took me a while, appreciate a look) :)
Which team was the viewer on?
The car blew up but the mission failed?
I got the impression that I was on team anti-sniper and they where the ones who blew up the car.
Very nice machinima indoodle.
(Offtopic; how did you get freecam in overgrowth without any UI?)

Re: Water In Lugaru 2
I believe water should be added because it could be used as a stealth option. For example, when you try engaging an enemy too strong to fight head on,you would use the water as a sort of camouflage and get around them. You could then get and advantage and grapple them from behind.Or there could be a l...

Re: am i seeing things?!
That would be nice in FPS, but blur effects and that kinds of things would be wierd in third person.
Maybe it would blend in with the insane world where fighting ninja rabbits live, I don't know.

Re: Water In Lugaru 2
The most I expect to see is far off pictures of water, or perhaps some splashy puddles at most. As Zelron said, they don't really add anything of value to the game. It would be a kind of weird addition, really. All it would really serve to do is kill framerate. Yeah, but at the same time, isn't it ...

Re: Throwing Weapons
dog knife is the most developed weapon so far, jumping and throwing with that is the most likely one to work.
Im not sure though, i remember something about it in the alpha videos.
I will try it when i get home.
( throwing with Q, dropping with shift+Q )

Re: Unique/emergent gameplay mechanics possibilities?
But that is what I meant with the rope -- an emergent solution players might discover into the game with advanced rope/wood mechanics and gameplay mechanics. But it was an extreme example to highlight possibilities. I doubt it'd be possible -- since you'd have to have full control over the rope and...

You can find all player controls at http://wiki.wolfire.com/index.php/Playe ... r_Controls
Blocking is about timing, play the introduction level of lugaru and you will understand what it's about.

Re: "fake" multiplayer concept
Yeah, I know it was a vague idea to begin with and the more I think of it, I realize that the game is to dynamic to get the same results in both instances of the game. Il try to clear my idea up a bit. Basically I wanted to use my keyboard as the secondary controller of someone elses game and vice v...

Re: "fake" multiplayer concept
So basically have a character's movements and actions controlled by a player on another machine? That's basically how LAN/networked multiplayer works. :| I hope I'm not making a fool of my self by taking this seriously. The word "fake" scares me. Well yes, true. But when you think of mult...

"fake" multiplayer concept
(This was posted to another forum, the game I am refering to is overgrowth) Hello! Recently I where looking in to a pretty awesome game that unfortunently, right now does not have LAN or online multiplayer support. In this game you can add additional players that uses eg. an xbox controller plugged...

Re: Improvements for the game.
I doubt there will ever be purchasable items since overgrowth is so very mod friendly. I could see dev maps DLC costing a buck or so. But that would be far in to the future or never. Wolfire isn't actvision or EA, thats hard to remember when they make such awesome games, but still they are not and d...
