Re: Post Random Images... (previously just avatars...)

The tutorial is notoriously difficult for beginners. I failed it at least once. Hint: buy a soldier (I recommend a robot mk2) with a heavy sniper rifle. I'll try that, it took me the first two to figure out how to open up the damn shipping containers. Every time I tried they just exploded. :-P Also...

Re: Phoenix Engine licensing for other indie developers?

Yes. Good to see someone backing me up on this. I posted something similar asking about whether the Source code will be released in some form to modders, but they seemed at the time to be against it. I still believe that no amount of Javascript would be able to have the flexibility as rough and dirt...

I AM ANGRY NOW AAARRGGHHHH TIME IS NOT THE FOURTH DIMENSION IT IS NOT A DIMENSION AT ALL DIMENSIONS ARE DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS THAT YOU CAN MEASURE SOMETHING IN, E.G HEIGHT, LENGTH TIME IS NOT A DIRECTION YOU CAN PUT TWO OBJECTS NEXT TO EACHOTHER TO MAKE THE TOTAL SIZE TALLER OR LONGER OR SOMETHING, ...

Re: Why are many Christians self-contradictory?

Time in the fourth dimension (at least from what I've read) isn't a physical entity. It's an abstract concept. Depth (the 3rd dimension) isn't a physical entity, it's a measure. Time is just a measure of all the passing instances of the universe. Suggested Video: http://www.tenthdimension.com/medial...

Re: Image War

I played this game on another forum. Are we going to do images that in someway conteract the image posted above (ie. Fire -> Fire extinguisher/Water/Firemen) or just relating to the above picture (ie. Wolfire -> Wolf/Dog) I personally prefer having them contradict each other, but it's up to you. P.s...

Re: Why are many Christians self-contradictory?

We can't prove anything about the beginning of time. We can't make any statements, but we can sure get a good idea of what was happening. The light from stars extremely far away will have been traveling for millions of years. Obviously it won't give us information on the beginning of time but it ca...

Re: Prototype

I disagree on the graphics for the most part. While the streets feel a bit bare, I think the graphics are definitely up to par.Though, I am using a 24" monitor on max settings. The story's kinda bland, but it could be worse. Plus it doesn't take long to get all of your powers. It would be no fu...

Re: Assassin's Creed 2 (Trailer)

I agree with Skofo, CGI is getting close to perfectly realistic. I say give it a decade, and you won't be able to tell between the two.

Re: defenseless...

My advice would be to try to avoid getting yourself in these situations. If a gang does burst into a party, you should get the hell out of there. Better to run than get hurt trying to fight.

If you're unable to get out just try to stay out of the way, and sneak out when possible.

Re: Combat Suggestion

True.

I wouldn't be opposed to having control be roll, but the main point of the OG combat system is to keep it limited to as few buttons as possible.

I'm sure the OG team will make the distinction between blocking and rolling better when the game is released.

Re: Combat Suggestion

I never really had too much of a problem, but if you look away first, and then hit Shift it should roll.

Turner only blocks when the camera is facing the enemy.
