L4D was scary in a good way. I wasn't freaked out so much as having a hilarious amount of fun. I think it's because the game doesn't take itself seriously.

That's my problem with sanity. Everything is so arbitrary. And in such arbitrary cases, "proper" can only be defined by the perceived norm. Or what works best with society, which is almost the same thing. Of course, the same can be said about morality.
