The preorders are for digital distribution right now. We talked to some people about getting a box version, but no one has responded to us yet.

That was actually meant to refer to when we would start giving our weekly alphas to preorderers. Back then we had barely started officially started Wolfire. :) We released the first alpha November 2nd, 2008. But yeah, it is very hard to predict when the game will be finished and our initial estimate...

The unwritten law is that you can shamelessly promote stuff in randomness, but it needs to be balanced out by a shameless promotion of Overgrowth on the other persons forums.

Yeah, that would be great! I'd love to see people using the Phoenix Engine, assuming we don't need to provide support.
