Alpha testing in games development should be made by the programmers only imho. I disagree. I think I know zamzx (If he is who I think he is...), and he comes from the same game community like me (Vendetta Online). That game was free alpha for quite some time, and it did it quite some good (I think...

You don't have to buy a Mac to play Marathon, do you? I think Aleph One was ported to Linux and Windows.

Here's the link to the AO page, from there you can access the d/l page.

The Halo series, a spiritual successor to the Marathon series?
Maybe... But I wouldn't bet on it. The backstory was nowhere near as intricate, and Bungie caved in to the 'make the gamer a hero'. You were just the henchman back in Marathon, remember?

I knew my decision to steal Mifune's name would come to haunt me some time. I had no idea what the kanji used to write toshiro meant (laziness on my part). I was just awed by the person. So: My apologies if I offended anyone. I will, however, continue using the name as my alter ego for the web. As f...

@ Usagi: It is an allusion to Mifune Toshiro, yes... I just liked the actor so much I decided to steal his name and use it for my avatar (I have been doing so since 2000, so it kind of grew on me). If you see a toshiro online, chances are not all too bad it's me :) I see what you mean by intuitivity...

Kalexon: What are you referring to when you say 'early humans'? They found that people in the neolithic age were already very capable and made bows akin to those used in England during the english-french war in the middle ages. Also, for strings they often used the intestines of game... As for aimin...
