Re: Multiplayer. My personal plea to wolfire.
I think that co-op/multiplayer could be taken in a number of really cool directions besides just PvP too. Co-op is most obviously compatible with single player missions, but I think overgrowth's unique playstyle and grappling techniques can be used in a portal 2 type of co-op, where you NEED to work...

Re: Multiplayer. My personal plea to wolfire.
fair enough, I'd appreciate it out sooner rather than later as well. Long as later still has multiplayer of some form ^^

Re: Story Wise
I feel there should be multiple characters for multiple types of players to relate to, and hence a larger background world

Re: Story Wise
@endo - I definitely dont want to see anything related to the actual overgrowth game storyline. I was more referring to a desire to see more general worldlore (timeline, official map, religions, more detailed racial/clan backgrounds, geopolitics, economics, famous cities (are there even cities?) etc...

Re: Story Wise
I'd just like to see more story and world lore availible to the public because it helps a lot of the community participate and contribute to the cannon (be it fan art, short stories, maps with connections to the worldlore, etc). Gives us guys who dont know anything about modding or game design thing...

Re: Multiplayer. My personal plea to wolfire.
multiplayer is pretty blunt - it adds a new level of competition and difficulty, as no computer is going to be as smart or spontaneous as a human opponent. More challenging gameplay and non-repetitive content (if you consider super smash non-repetitive). At the very least you could play it locally w...

Re: Story Wise
As wolfire is an indie company, I suppose I hold different expectations of them (or would like to) than I do of big name games. I kind of think that the benefit of indie game designing is that you can take games in artistic directions that break out of mainstream molds, textbook story arcs, and over...

Story Wise
I was wondering if any of you knew about anything that was being done in the plot/story or theme department of overgrowth. I've looked through the wiki that focuses mainly on lugaru and I've read a few posts I found with the search engine on various aspects or thoughts about overgrowth lore and race...

Re: Overgrowth Multiplayer discussion
Both sides seem to make good points so what it really comes down to is what you prefer. There's no real way to say that multiplayer is absolutely better than single player or vise versa. It's just what players prefer - some people will only buy games that have multiplayer capability and others prefe...
