I keep thinking my phone vibrates every 30 seconds when it's in my pocket. I don't know why.

Anyway, yeah, it's just normal. I sometimes think I can hear my cat meowing when he's nowhere near the house. It's only ever when I'm playing a game though.

Damn that intersection stuff looks awesome - I'd love to see a Python script that would do that for UV coords in Blender.

Looking at the evolved movement video again - would you possibly be able to make one where the ragdoll attempts to stand up - or fitness based on time standing / energy spent? I just want to see a ragdoll actually get up again.

Then there's Rhino3D - from what I've seen (and without doing any significant research) it's like an ultimate crossover between a CAD program and a super-advanced version of Blender. But it's insanely expensive (more expensive than Maya) and I don't think there's a free trial version, so it doesn't ...

Yeah, but as rudel said, Sketchup is so disgustingly simple that it doesn't even count as a 3D modelling program. Or maybe I said that, in my head.

But if the world was persistent and player-controlled, along with the other ideas that Blorx mentioned in the original post, then it wouldn't be 20 days of mad grinding and boredom and antiquated chat systems with absolutely no role-playing. And you probably wouldn't need to continually update your ...

Yeah, I was looking at the story of how Blender came to be, it's really funny, actually. I just love that the original proprietary Blender had no GUI and had to be done completely with keyboard controls.

Something there doesn't add up... I can't put my finger on it. I'm interested in your cueing up... were you arranging the indices in numerical order? If so, then you've missed one. Regardless, I've seen computers in general do strange things. Looking at the original hex table, the 3F 80 values seem ...

Of course, a properly made player-controlled persistent MMO would probably be able to sustain itself somewhat even if the developers forget about it - the players would be able to make their own challenges and even new cities. As for Grayswandir's surprisingly coherent and sensible post, there are w...

What's the colour depth on the first one? It has to be at least 24-bit othrwise you'll never get enough colours.

I don't know specifically how your program works, but it's probably at save-time that you get colour options.

I'm surprised that so many people have given up on MMOs. It sounds like what you really want, Blorx, is a persistent (not necessarily unchanging, but doesn't get reset every few days), player-controlled open-ended MMOG. It has been done, however both persistent and player-controlled MMOs have issues...
