Hello there
I like the sound of missfires alot.
It's not the safest weapon in the world but wont the palm safety assist if the 1911 is dropped?

Re: A Gunsmith's Perspective
hello there I sit halfway between a "youtube" gun owner and some personal experience when I lived in South Africa, so, it's nice to have someone who knows their stuff and without being preachy about it. Keep the constructive criticism coming. personally, i'm not too fussed about the asthet...

Re: Possible Additions for Next Receiver Build
Hello there A couple of points. Although all weapons essentially are just "bullet throwers", part of the charm for me was being manipulate, with some accuracy, a weapon I have actually owned. So while adding other pistols/longs to the game wont really alter anything it will attract those g...

Hello there
A quick FYI, getting hold of assets isn't really an issue, there's a few of us modellers hanging around and the game used an FBX format for their 3d stuff which is a common format for many software suites.
Programming them in though, that's another matter

Re: Word of advice for Receiver
hello there Once again, I'm not asking for a Nerf or "Fall Mattress" just the option to enable them. I hate games which smooth out stuff to appeal to everyone as the game becomes neither one thing nor the other. BUT, adding the choice of how to play keeps the core game for those who want a...

Re: recompiling assets?!
Hello there I cannot answer your unity question, but even if one reduced the face count of the "blocks", is it not down to the way the engine handles the assests that's the issue (culling etc)? Whilst reducing/optimising the models may help to a degree will it drastically affect the perfor...

Hello there, Stubbing my toe is enough to put me out of action, a flesh wound would probably incapacitate me. But, this is a game and so it's about the enjoyment factor for the end user and the sudden death factor has been ought up on this and other forums. It's great for some, for others it's a tur...

Hello there I also would like perhaps a 2 or three hit life. I understand it goes against the roguelike experience, so this is why I add the caveat that it should be settable in settings, so those of us who wish to play with a little more health can and those who want the pure experience can switch ...

Hello there if we're thinking of going down the mini carbine route, don't forget the "broomhandle" mauser, with it's woodenstock/holster. If it's good enough for Han Solo or Prussian Cavalry then it's good enough for me. Google it! https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=mauser+broomhandle&h...

Re: Multiplayer Implementation is happening.
hello there I applaud your efforts! But what will ones avatar look like? Will it be a stylised representation? Ie low low poly count? like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z22DhbOZMbU these? For me, I'd hate anything ultra realistic as it would clash with the games style IMHO Regardless, I'll still ha...

Re: Possible Additions for Next Receiver Build
@pokieboy Custom mods can be a pain, but they can be amazing if they are organised properly. See Arma2 and it's "signed" mod system. A simplisic "plug n play" system would be required though. (also, I have a bunch of untextured weapon models I made for a client that were never us...

Hello there
Interesting stuff indeed, nicely scripted. Keep it up.
I still want full anims though.
When's this going up on the Bis forums?

Re: Possible Additions for Next Receiver Build
Hello there Another addition I'd like to see is to be able to field strip the weapon, I miss being able to do it with my long lost 1911. But I cant think of a viable reason to implement it, unless you find parts (slide, mainspring etc etc) to build up into the gun, like having to find batteries for ...
