Re: Come back after a year.

It's slightly different for XP (C:\Documents and Settings instead of Users), but the idea is the same.

Re: Whats overgrowth coded in?

Overgrowth is coded in C++. Most games are coded in some C variant, like C++ or C-Sharp. The exception is Minecraft, which is coded in Java. Also, most that use a scripting layer uses something like Lua, where Overgrowth uses AngelScript. C++ is a good place to start learning programming. That's whe...

Re: Compiling Lugaru on OSX

In my experience, your developer folder must not contain a space or any other special UNIX characters. I had this problem when trying to build Perian.

Re: Overgrowth on linux

It is worth noting that Overgrowth does use cross-platform APIs for the most part. The only exception is Awesomium which has promised cross-platform support. The fact that it can compile on GCC (Mac OS X) is promising to Linux developers.

Re: What OS do you play Lugaru on?

Mac OS 10.6.6 mostly. Sometimes I boot my Linux machine so I can see all the neat graphical features that my lackluster GMA 950 just doesn't support (blur makes my Mac go all wonky).

Re: iCoder: Aren't they just a delightful bunch?

The news is making the rounds. It is completely possible that Apple will pull it due to shame.

They are violating copyright law with at least the art assets. Wolfire is in its rights to sue them if they so choose.

I'm wondering if anyone has had success running Overgrowth on Wine-64.
I'm running wine32 on a 64-bit Linux.

Re: Overgrowth on linux

As for Alpha 108 and 109, I think the Awesomium DLL is causing the Awesomium app to crash.

Re: Alpha 110 skipped

Any word on if / when the rigging / animation tools will be back? I still need to make break dancing whale man, and I had a silly idea for animated platforms (not even sure that would work, was thinking of sonic like spring platforms etc, but that's probably ludicrous on the physics load). You coul...

Which alpha did you use? 107 worked for me under Wine. 108 hasn't.

Just necroposting to let people know (if they don't already) that people who have bought the Humble Indie Bundle can now activate it on Steam.
