Re: Modder Protection

Interesting. Might be a lot of work for little gain. I'm not sure the worry would really be of looking for easter eggs. More for stealing a modder's meshes and textures and using them for your own good. Of course that might be encouraged, depending on how the whole modding system turns out in the end.

Re: What age requirement would you give OG?

I'm fully aware of the ESRB. I was saying that the ESRB shouldn't really have an age recommendation, and should just show what's in it, and let the buyer (or the younger buyer's parents) decide.

Re: What age requirement would you give OG?

Age? I say that those who play it are responsible for themselves. You really can't set a specific age for game violence. Some 10 year olds are more mature than others, some 18 years olds are more immature than the 10 year old. Other than for the purpose of freaking out the parents, I see no real rea...

Re: "Bereft of good and evil are games without morality"?

I totally agree about the hidden morality topic. I skimmed the article, but the quote near the center definitely emphasizes the best way that morality should be handled. Morality is simply the effect that your actions have on the world around you, and what those effects imply about yourself. Regardl...

Ah. If you remember the name of one that's also good, it'd be great to know.

Re: Just Cause 2

Did you find the hex using that? Or did you get the hex info online and just change it with that program?

Re: Just Cause 2

If only the dev was stupid enough to include the entire game with the demo. :(

Just curious, what program did you use? I've poked around a few programs that'll decompile .exe's and catch internet packets. Never got into heavily using them though.

Re: Unofficial alpha 68, weekly build

I get a steady 60fps prior to spawning Robbert, then about 8 after spawning him. I'm noticing a trend here, any idea why his character model is so expensive to render? Or it may be the rigging/physics/animations if the engines aren't optimized yet. Though it's probably the rendering. Rabbot's got m...

Re: Choose Your Weapon!

It's completely dependent on how the campaign is setup. If it's a traveling campaign, it only makes sense to use what you can carry.

Otherwise, I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to stockpile and trade with merchants in cities.

Re: SUPER SERIOUS THREAD BY ME

Ah, that kind of tablet. That's useless. Why would you design it for that kind of gameplay. Less than 5% of computer owners have got to have one of those. Less than 5% of computers have them, but probably at least a good 30-40% would consider buying the game. Appealing to a small audience sparks mo...

Not unless you were maybe using it maybe before 2000. I've never heard that name before.

Maybe Adobe has a bundle of some sort with studio on it.

Re: Graaahhhhh can't make up my mind

FlashStudio? I've only heard of Adobe Flash and FlashDevelop. It's honestly useless trying to develop a flash game without the GUI for drawing and animating. You might try f, though. It's the same engine that runs that jumping game on rooftops that I can't remember the name of. Edit: Engine is Flixe...

No, tablet as in the tablet is on the screen. As in you touch the screen. Not an external tablet for drawing.
