I actually appreciate your lengthy intro letter.
Can't wait to hear some of your finer points.

Re: "Transmiter" Ideas for prequel to Receiver
I'm with you! I've been imagining a very similar 'alternate reality' version in my head as well. (same title and all!) If you listen to the tape about the different Kill Drones, you might notice that the 'Voice' says they were dreamed up, or something similar to that. This always made me imagine tha...

Re: Receiver Inspired Ideas
Now that there is a new Receiver forum, I just wanted to revisit the idea of a Telekinetic Node hazard. The only new complication would be the revolver, since it doesn't have a safety, but opening up the wheel would essentially do the same thing.

Re: [Bucklers] Vanilla Bucklers Mod
Awesome. On a side note, this might explain why I've never been able to apply a sharpness map to my modified Awl or Chisel, since I had to rotate them to fit correctly.

Re: Endo's own thread
For what its worth, I tried to create a reasonable stab-wound appearance for the Awl shank I made. Mixed results. Sometimes the wound appears at a good angle. Other times it doesn't even show up on the enemy's body.

Please register your preorder tag. Then we can move this to the SPF and give you help. Until then, please stop posting game-specific information on the generic Wolfire forum.

Re: Some suggestions some comments
Please, no 'Sword Breaker' stuff. During the time of historical fencing, the 'Left Hand' was used to protect the sword hand, batt away strikes and occasionally trap an opponent's blade. There was never any actual blade breaking going on.

Re: [Map] TempleRuin
The only time you need to calculate a nav mesh and provide it in the download is if you have actually tweaked any navigation 'planes' etc... Besides that, it is very easy for any player to calculate shadows, occlusions and nav mesh. Leaving these things OUT of the download is usually best because it...

Re: Overgrowth : Series of problems
Dude, please don't dump all of this game-specific info on the public Wolfire forum. There is a Secret Preorder Forum where this post belongs. If you go there, you might already find a thread related to your problem. If not, well then feel free to list all of your error details in a new SPF thread. T...

That's nothing new. People have been suggesting Muay Thai for the Rabbits for years.Coincidence wrote:This man is a genius.camfelix55 wrote:I totally agree with all of you. maybe the could have different fighting styles for different animals/races e.g. wolves = kung fu or rabbits = muay thai etc.

Re: Overgrowth new Fight Styles
there are already some different styles. You can check out "Djemps' Move-Set Bundle" on the forum, he did an awesome job and created some different styles. I guess there will be more styles, as the different races need different animations. I don't know about styles like in AC3, but I wou...

Re: Jump Kick Way OP
The 'power' of the Leg Cannon is not the attack itself, but the fact that it has a hefty downward knock back. The enemy often survives getting kicked, but dies when they slam against the ground.

Re: Overgrowth issue, help?
I'm having an issue that always occurs when I play the Overgrowth alpha. I play on a Mac OSX, and I know Macs generally aren't great for gaming but I don't really have a choice for the time being as I can't get it to run well on my ASUS laptop. So when I play it, there's this random point in time w...

And there was great rejoicing!!!
But seriously, consider sending me a PM with a link to your prototype files and I will get to work making some tweaked Bear combat animations.
