Re: Custom Character Project
"Furry" is so generic a term that Overgrowth technically qualifies. Wikipedia says otherwise: " Furry fandom "Furry" and "Furries" redirect here. Furry fandom is a fandom for fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteri...

Re: Spam problems
If the post is innocuous but it obviously looks like a spammer profile, I'll usually still disapprove it, but yeah, I'd be interested to hear the "official" take on that too.

Re: No female characters planned?
Is there a reason that humans have more visible breasts? My point still stands that breasts are a main gender identifier, as bad as that sounds. No, the purpose of breasts is a mystery. Some people have given the purpose of breasts a lot of thought. David Brin thinks it's related to neoteny . Breas...

Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a117, weekly build
how can i make the other animals to fight with me? The AI remains non-aggressive until you tell it otherwise. By default, the C key (for Combat, I guess) switches AI characters into this aggressive mode. If you or any other character gets knocked out, the X key returns everyone to full health and a...

Re: Change controls
You're a lifesaver, Endo! :D For those who want to change their controls, here's where the key settings are located in the scripts shipping with alpha 117. You may want to use a text editor which can display line numbers and do syntax colouring, like TextMate, to make things easier on yourself. Acti...

Re: An Idea
It's not realistic not to be able to realize someone is moving very close to you. Even humans can pick up subtle clues like the sound of breathing and such. Rabbits with superior hearing would have much easier time with that. A minimap that indicated sounds, instead of enemies, would be an interest...

Re: Change controls
Can keyboard-triggered "testing" features, like the ragdoll keys, be remapped in config.txt? I'm actually accustomed to a relatively odd control scheme (A=forwards S=backwards W=jump C=crouch Z=strafe left X=strafe right), but can't use it in OG because I end up constantly ragdolling by mi...

Nothing saying he should never socialize again, though. Even with anthropomorphized animals, it doesn't always have to be about the sexy time.

Re: An Idea
I think it'd be super fun even in single player. (I don't play multiplayer much...or, well, at all.) Involving a variety of playing styles (perhaps even multiple playable characters of different species, if the story suits it?) could only serve to make the game more interesting. But yeah, I'm sure t...

Re: What kind of voice acting would you like in Overgrowth?
It's been suggested that there could be an option to switch off spoken dialogue for those who want only animal sounds; I'm starting to agree more and more that this would be a good way to satisfy both sides. That is, if suitable voice talent is found for the dialogue in the first place.

You've gotta admit, though, it looks pretty funny when he lands and starts running at speeds normally associated with Looney Tunes. Kidding aside, I'm sure that's on their to-do list.
