What about a system where there is no edge of the map, you just keep running, and eventually end up right back where you were? If the view distance only lets you see so far, you'd get to a point where you couldn't see anything in any direction, but after running further, you'd be back where you star...

The torrent isn't connecting to any peers, both with Transmission and — out of desperation — BitTorrent

I'm still getting very strange results without shaders, and with shaders the FPS still is 0-1. Hmm.

Also, idea for the full game: make rabbot an easter egg character. Not only that, but I've been playing with a11, and the grab function is ridiculously powerful (though oh-so-much fun!), so when it's scaled down for the final, I'm thinking there should be an option for the original power somewhere;...
