The grappling hook sounds like a cool idea though.
They can't be a mammal. In the world of Lugaru, all mammals have evolved to human-esque forms and civilizations. And yes, there are much more than just wolves and rabbits. Lizard-mounts would be awesome :p But I agree it would be very odd to have a mount species in the game.. perhaps larger creatur...
There'd have to be some distinguishable way of knowing whether or not an ally was dead, though. I guess I should be putting this in the random ideas thread. Dunno.. them laying on the ground and not moving is usually a clue :P Don't get smart. I meant whether they were dead or unconscious, obviousl...
