Riverhurst

http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Mavrix/lugaru/Overgrowth/r1headersmall.png Riverhurst After three months of production, I have finally finished yet another Overgrowth map. As mentioned in the blog post , this map has far more objects than my previous works and contains a rather prominent level of de...

Re: Overgrowth trailer take 2

That sounds like quite an undertaking, but if you're up to it that'd be something I may even pay to see. Some thoughts, however... Firstly, I think Whale man should only get a small appearance at the end or something, thus protecting his style of mystery and all. Secondly, if you are having a hard t...

Re: Overgrowth trailer take 2

Magnificent! I like the background for the text slides, and Turner was pretty badass. Then again, I always kinda felt Turner was more of the selfish kind, only fighting in revenge of his family's death. Either way, it looks awesome. One other critique, however, would be that instead of saying "...

Bah, this is quite detrimental to my progress...

What a pity. I get that on startup and it pretty much crashes after that.

Re: Unofficial, alpha 44 weekly build

Alpha 44 and 43 seem to skip the Menu for some reason. It automatically loads 'PlainshillsA33Sky.xml'.

Anyhow, I just found out that the brush tool works. Awesome!

Re: OGXML Tool (UPDATED: 20-09-2009)

Gee dude, this is the pure definition of awesome. A lot of time I have to use Textedit (Which sucks) or Dreamweaver (Which doesn't suck, but it isn't preferable for me) to edit my .xml files. This tool you made looks like it'd make things a bit more easier to comprehend and all. Keep up the good wor...

Re: Unofficial, alpha 44 weekly build

Wow, so far I'm loving the big leap in the ribbon and all, although there are still some things that need fixing. I'll also keep the list of things broken from my last lil' review. Big Bugs *1 - I think this may have happened in 43 as well. When I open up my Alpha, it skips the main menu and goes st...

Re: Unofficial, alpha 43 weekly build

1 - Shaders on a few objects are still rather disappointing, most of them are in this list.... Basket.xml RobedStatue.xml Elm_Branch.xml Elm_Trunk.xml Joshua_Trunk.xml stoneblockpile.xml stoneblock.xml 2 - This can be fixed by changing the "normal" on the shader path to "cubemapobj&q...

Re: Unofficial, alpha 43 weekly build

Okay, I suppose it's time I go through a good list of bugs and suggestions from my little experience with the editor, so here it goes... Big Bugs In my pure opinion... 1 - Well, what's bothered me quite intently is the fact that you can manipulate an object without even having to press on the object...

Re: Stone block's texture is fucked

Hey, figured something out today. In fact, I believe John instructed us to do this before, but if you open up the stoneblock.xml in text edit or something, you can fix it by changing the "<ShaderName>normalmap</ShaderName>" to "<ShaderName>cubemapobj</ShaderName>" This should wor...

Re: Showoff thread

Then once it seems safe, If you are going to try to make something fancy press ctrl-shift-s frequently to save multiple copies of your project as you build it (don't just overwrite the same file or you might end up replacing a good file with a corrupt one, stay away from ctrl-s for this reason). I ...
