Sad to say, my first RPG was Super Mario RPG for the Super Nintendo. My first real RPG was Final Fantasy VII. I didn't really understand how the menus worked back then, and I think I could barely read? I dunno, it's kind of fuzzy.

Another qualifier would have been Zelda: A Link to the Past. Can't remember which Super Nintendo game I got first.

However, my two favorite RPGs are Morrowind and Legend of Dragoon.

First one for me was Runescape, then I played both RS and WoW, and now just WoW.
Been thinking about getting a console RPG game, but those have endings and aren't MMORPGs.
