How Do I Get This Damned Avatar To Work?

I've been trying to get an avatar to load up, but it won't. What format does it need to be in? What do I need to ensure?

Is it 80 by 80 pixels? It also has to by less than 59 KB. If it isn't sized correctly, just upload it and I'll do it for you if you don't know how. If it's too big, try saving it in another format.

if you host it yourself the rules dont apply, but out of common decensy keep the picture small, 80x80 is a pretty good size rule

You can go up to about 140x140 without screwing anything up though, I just changed mine to a 130x130 and you can see there is a bit more space left.

the problem with that pic, I think, is that it is a *.png file. I am at work right now so I don't have access to photoshop, but when I get home at 2:00ish PDT I will gladly fix the picture for you, host it and send you the link.

I hosted a version of the picture which should work beautifully as your avatar. Since I don't really want to host your picture in the long term I suggest you host it through the forums; it should meet the criteria.

I tried it out, but it still doesn't seem to work. Thanks for the effort, though, I appreciate it.
Would the fact I am using the picture of the avatar as being uploaded off the file I have saved to my hard-drive as opposed to uploading the file off the internet?
