Some of my work in Torque

Well, I thought this would be a good way to introduce myself to the community. Here's some screenshots from some of my modding work on the Torque Game Engine (I'm working on my own game now, but I learned everything from just messing around in the engine.)

First off, some of my lego-scaled maps for the game "Blockland":

BL-Staircase-
Basically we I got a request for a map in the middle of a stairwell, and then as usual expanded on the idea a bit.

BL-Bedroom-
Actually a remake of the original building map. I quite like it.

Secondly, here's some of my more "realistic" maps:

BL-Acrophobia-
One of my latest pieces of work, acrophobia is set on a scenic mountain range, with tons of unique areas to explore.

BL-Waterlogged-
Based on a request for a decent ocean map. The Torque Engine's weakest points is water effects, but I was still able to make it look nice (At least until Acrophobia, when I made it look even better.)

Finally, a racing map for a new game mode me and some others are working on:

Cool. Have you considered writing your own engine?

Not at the moment. I'm mainly into content creation, and writing my own engine seems like too much work when there are so many excellent engines to choose from already.

Edit: Though from what i've seen on the Phoenix Engine, creating your own does have some interesting benefits.

Hey that's really awesome man! This is looking to be a very dynamic game, good job. Not only are you dealing with indoor levels like "stairs" but it also looks like you plan on making huge open environments, water too (boats?).
While I'm not too familiar with the Torque engine, these screenshots are making this game look real badass (badass legos? huh?). Looking forward to these updates. Is this supposed to be of Crises Gun (no dumbass, its acraphobia stupid. Oh yeah!)? that FPS game is looking really awesome right now.

I don't like the look of Crysis. I generally don't like games where you can be shot at from behind trees and from all angles without actually being able to spot your enemy. This problem factored into Killzone sometimes when enemies could see you through bushes but you couldn't see them.

Actually these aren't screens from Crisis Gun. These are only some of my modding work for the game Blockland. (Trust me, Crisis Gun will look much better with my engine changes)

Well i'm planning on making the game as balanced as possible. And making it pretty easy to tell who's shooting you. We'll see how it goes. :)
