As it turns out, a simple comment that was meant to simply say "That's grand so." still causes such an overreaction. Take your own advice, as I said earlier.

I suppose you're probably right, but it never ceases to amaze me how you can stay offended, or at least have the tone of being offended, for such a long time.

I find it interesting how people can put a perceived tone of voice to words so easily.

Well it's partly in how you respond that kind of tips people off to the tone...I'm just going to stop talking though.
