Awww, that's awesome. Probably the most emotional and heartwarming thing a video game has ever done.

didn't cry ... didn't even phase me to be honest.

1) get into anime and develop an interest in it.
2) Watch angel beats! (or apparently the clannad series works as well)

There was a youtube comment that said something like "If you don't cry to this series, you have no soul!"

I foolishly thought, "oh ... it can't be THAT bad"

It's. That. Fucking. Bad.

Sorry, didn't quite do it for me.

And that's coming from someone who cries really easily. As in teared-up-over-Avatar easily.

Shut up. It was sad.

Besides, nobody noticed so it doesn't count.

Avatar had a happy ending. So um... yeah. A couple deaths, but it was no Deadspace. I mean you didn't see whole spaceships full of people get turned into monsters and starting ripping out their friends spines through their throat. C'mon man.
I don't really like anime. Just not my thing. Like maybe Gundam... or the Last Airbender. Some cool fight scenes in that one. I just don't usually dig anime.

Korban3, you might be watching the wrong anime ... Watch "Black Lagoon" in english dub. If you're looking for something more intense with action, watch "Black Lagoon". It even has a pretty good english dub for it .(well, for the first season at least)

Don't watch it if you're too young though ... there's nudity, ultra violence, and constant cursing.

The thing is, anime is more of a style and doesn't really help predict the plot or age group. You can find sad anime, funny anime, scary anime, etc.

An example of scary (well, its not scary so much as psychological, that's a fairly unique genre ... it basically makes you feel like you just shit out part of your brain with shock but not really fear.):
Shiki Trailer

You better be mentally prepared.

I ... really don't envy you.

I don't think I would of watched that series if I knew how sad it was.

Edit: argh I'm ranting about anime again. Every time anime gets brought up and someone in the conversation hasn't watched alot of it I get this overwhelming urge to explain how amazing it is and I want to introduce them to it ... but at the very same time I want to tell them to run away and never ever try watching it. Anime is like crystal fucking meth.

how could anyone find dead space sad? or whatever? it's just like oh, some monsters, a bunch of dead people, honestly difficult to care about that kind of thing. of course this is coming from the guy who thinks that 9/11 is an over sensationalized minor event that people need to stop whining over, some people died, but we have a lot of them.

Well, I always find Deadspace sad when I start really thinking about it. Like 9/11 doesn't get me sad. I get pissed, but not sad. But with Deadspace, I just think about all those people who are depicted as being murdered by their best friends family. And then they turn into amonster and try to murder the player, and he's like SHIT! So while the horror/ jump scares subverses the sadness, I find it just kind of soul crushing to think about it. And I'm not even Isaac. Imagine being that guy. Fuck. You lose your babe, and get attacked. You find another chick, but then you force her away on a shuttle thing so you can save the day (but at least this one comes back for you) But I mean c'mon. If I were in his shoes, I'd have put a round through my head a long time ago, I think. Or maybe I would've lost my mind, put one through my left testicle, and then ran around naked screaming about seeing clouds from up and down and their illusions being all I recall. Just a soul crushing, depressing life.
As for anime, I'd like to find one that I like, but i just haven't put a lot of effort into finding something that I'm in to. I don't like the feudal Japan crap, Full Metal Alchemist was pretty cool. It's just that I'm not really into over stylized things, so anime is a tough place for me to find enjoyable stuff

Doesn't the "mom" in Animal Crossing just send gifts regardless? It's the NPC "Mom" and not her real life "Mom". I'm not sure how much I believe this comic, but I think it's going to be quite the surprise when her very deceased mother sends her another gift on Animal Crossing.
