ok...that's another thing i missed...thanks

EDIT: All of the effects are AMAZING and all but, i'm just wondering, how are you guys going to avoid making this like Doom 3 where the best framerate even on a 2.5 GHz comp is about 15? my comp only runs at 700 MHz, so i'm getting worried about that...

I agree with Blorx. My comp runs at only 700.5 Mhz, and It would be upsetting to find out that Lugaru II would be only for the "Fast Computers".

By the way, welcome back! I've never had the pleasure of knowing you on the forum. Ummmm...... I think it would be kinda pointless to introduce myself since you can obviously read[my username]......... 8)

Lugaru 2 will have many graphical options that you can turn off and it will be well optimized with careful profiling and such, but if you want the eyecandy, obviously you need a computer that can support it. David and I always keep our computers at the top of the line, so that is the target.

It is better to target the future than to develop for obsolete computers, for obvious reasons.

for comparison purposes, would you be so kind as to reveal the specs of the computer that the phoenix engine is being built on?

lol, what do you think man, that they're hiding it from us? :P
I'm sure David is going to be able to put together a nice little recommended system requirements bullet, once he gets everything he wants put together along with any of his concept optimizations (what do you want now? System requirements for his tech demos? :) ).
That being said, I have a feeling David is going above and beyond on this one, really pushing computers to their limit. If it's going to be on shelves and in a box, it's going to have alot of these new features to compete with other commercial games. But no worries :P considering the replay value from Lugaru 1, I'm sure you'll be able to get a fast computer by the time David releases his next game, no way will Lugaru series get boring!

Welcome back Blorx! You're in summer already? Just 4 more days for me!
(lucky bastard doesn't have to deal with finals :( )

Jokes!
