Thank you.
would Distribute include posting on Here?
If you make a texture pack for example, I am sure David would let you post
it here
Edit: BTW, I love the new forum look
Edit2: I didn't know you could go third-person! It's much more fun to play that way.
If you hadn't noticed, theres a second map.
Just write "map map2" in the console (console key is same as Lugaru).
Also try to press command-Z in the game.
It will load the first map, but you will start under the main part of the level.
You can't move, and the robot there won't attack you.
If you shoot it however it will start running and shooting, but not at you.
Another thing to try is turning on cellophane in the config file.

Man, now I really want to play it. Stupid PC's at all of my relatives' houses!

I saw cellophane in the config file, but I haven't tried it yet
Also, repair not working isn't actually a problem, I think it's just rendered useless because whatever it does is done automatically or something

Yeah it seems repairing is automatic.

There's no file-attachment function on these forums,
so just use a free file hosting service, like the ones in that thread,
and post the link here.

Nice find! By the way, if you shoot the hawk, easier on the second map, it explodes in drops of black blood! Funny.

Sheesh, that's more interactivity with the hawk (That I didn't even know existed in SoS) than in Lugaru!

this game is insane!
bUT
DONT GET DAVID OR JEFF to make it better UNTIl lugaru2 is out!
Is there a way to mod it ourselves?
Im noob at these things. but i dunno how to 'get into' the SOS application:(

It isn't a .app bundle (which you would get into by "Show Package Contents")
and all modable data is in the "Data" folder.
It's the same engine that Lugaru uses, so modding is is just like modding
Lugaru.
Maybe something in the program itself is modable through a resource editor,
though.
New maps and textures for SOS would be great.
Sounds can also be fun to replace.

Geez, you people are slow at finding fun stuff in the game.
Just read the manuals, look around a little, and you'll figure out all that and more in less than half an hour.
Personally I used like fifteen minutes to find out all and play around... some months ago. And then lots more of playing around in addition.
Just a little tip. :/

SoS should be on the Wolfire games page.
I love the 3rd person view, with tab, where your gun always locks on to the nearest enemy. I think this would be the perfect system for LU2. You could do all the jumping and flipping and athletics, without worrying about aiming your bow/crossbow/spear/throwing knives/sling. Maybe your weapons would automaticly lock on to enemies, BUT if you were really far away, you could press right click (Or any button, really) and enter a precison aiming mode, Llke in Red Faction.
"New maps and textures for SOS would be great.

When I enter combat in Lugaru, "Killing in the Name" plays.

Whoa you changed the sound files?
Tell how! It's probably a stupid question but some people had
crashed their sound drive doing it.
I should probably give it a shot.

I've always wondered how to change the sound files; I've tried, but I had problems with the program the sounds opened up in.
I second that. Do tell!
