Yes, its not bad. I never got really far into it, it seemed a bit generic when I first played it. I have it sitting around somewhere I may get back to it eventually.
Tbh it may well have ben fairly generic for it's type, but since it was the only one of it's kind I ever played it felt revolutionary! I've never even played the other Breath of Fire games and I don't plan to.

The gameplay is decent and pretty standard, the graphics haven't aged that badly (when you upscale it on the PS3) and the storyline was amazingly engaging for a video game. One of the few times I've developed a strong emotional tie with characters!

Has to be Planescape: Torment for me. It has the best story I've ever experienced in a game, which is good because the story basically -is- the gameplay. I will say, though, that if you like RPGs for the combat then it will *not* be for you :p

Rocket Knight Adventures on the Megadrive is probably the best platformer ever made, bar none. At least in my opinion :p Hits the perfect balance of difficulty, where it's challenging but always fair and never frustrating, brilliant artwork and animation and you play as a possum with a jetpack and a sword that shoots fire. Yeah, that last part is probably why I love it so much. [=

Hitman: Blood Money has definitely found it's way up there for me recently, too, it fulfills my more sadistic urges nicely :3 Nothing beats the feeling of shooting a clown in the stomach and watching him writhe in agony as he bleeds out on the flo- ohgodimamonster.

As far as more modern games go, Dragon Age: Origins managed to get 4 playthroughs out of me one after the other, which is always a good sign. The story is generic, but brilliantly told and you really feel like your choices make a difference. On top of that, the combat is brilliant, really reminds me of Baldurs Gate or Icewind Dale (on the PC anyway, I've played the PS3 version and it's not half as tactical or fun, unfortunately =[).

My all time favourite is "Thief - The Dark Project"

Aside this I like "Unreal" from 1998. "Rogue Spear" from 1997. "Project IGI" from 2000.
I'm so oldschool.
