Just wondering, as some people in another forum currently disagree with me, arguing "The only people who care about this kind of 'art' are the people who make it".
In your opinion, is Photoshop art real art?

If a urinal hung on a wall can be considered art, I see no reason not to consider Photoshop stuff as art.

The most Cheekiest thing i have ever heard was a person putting a dot red about 2cm on a 4 ft x 4 ft Canvas of all white. he Entered it in some real Up-class Art show. He had been to all these different school and there for Won. he also sold it for 5 Grand.
a Urinal sounds better to look at.
or a big Bear Ass. (no it wouldn't, i just wanted to say it)
I have done some Photo Shop artwork.
Art is truely the Voice of the Spirit that can be made and Judged. righting a Speech, making a Game, making Food, making Graphics, and making love.
they can all be Judged, and made... there for i say that it is.

No matter what tool you use, art will still be art.

I've seen that one, it hung in a museum in my hometown.
The same guy made a big black circle.
As long as it's arranged by a human and somehow related to aesthetic expression, I say it's art.
To me, even computer games are art. Depends on the game, of course.
Photoshop is a nice tool for making awesome pictures. I prefer Gimp though because I can afford it.

Who voted "no" and why? Not flaming, just interested, cause I really don't understand how Photoshop art isn't real art.

Do you mean bare or bear? I actually can't decide, while you did write bear it seems just enough more likely that you meant bare; i am rendered completely unsure.

Either way, I would applaud the person who actually has the balls to sit there and paint a bear's ass, up-close and personal.

Hahaha! Well said!
I voted yes, because as everyone stated in the topic, art is art, no matter what medium or tool.
Something that’s perhaps a bit unfortunate in some cases. (Red dot?)

There are no "Decisions, Decisions" on this, yes for sure, as it is art whether it is a urinal or a 5 year masterpiece (Consisting of a red dot on a 5,000 meter canvas, in which the canvas is the masterpiece

)
P.S: Woo, 222nd post, 666, here I come!!!

You do not need the opinions of some guys on a forum to consider what you're doing as art. Listen to your own opinion. There's no point in arguing with the people on that other forum about it, because they are likely doing it just to get a rise out of you to begin with. You shouldn't give in to people like that. I should know, I sometimes become one of those people.
